Producer is a title we have come up with to describe those who make product videos for :piksie.com. Therefore, this title is not used within its traditional context here at :piksie.com.

Producers can make product specific videos and submit them to showcase channels or they can make informative and educational videos that will help consumers with their purchasing decisions and submit them to :piksieTV.

All videos submitted by producers are subject to approval by MVPs and/or SuperMVPs. In the absence of MVPs or SuperMVPs, management will be responsible for video approvals.

Eligibility

• Must meet the following age requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Or you are an emancipated minor with full consent of your legal parent or guardian
  • If you are 13 years of age or younger, you are NOT eligible to become a producer or use the services of :piksie.com
• Must be a :piksie member with no abuse reports against you
• If you want to participate in Revenue Sharing Program (RSP), you must be a US Citizen or permanent resident and provide a copy of a picture ID and a signed W-9 form in order to participate in RSP.

Responsibilities

• You may not submit videos to :piksie.com that contain objectionable material or violate any of the copyright laws in the U.S. All videos must be your own material. :piksie.com reserves the right to decline and/or remove any videos that do not comply with its general policies.
• Your videos must contain material that will benefit consumers such as product demonstrations, product comparisons or educational content that will benefit consumers and help them with their purchasing decisions. Everything in your videos must be factual and presented in the most professional manner possible.
• You may not use the :piksie.com platform for defamation purposes in any way.
• By becoming a producer here at :piksie.com, you are agreeing to all the rules and regulations of :piksie.com
• By becoming a producer, you are also giving :piksie.com the right to display your videos to general public and use them for commercial, educational and promotional purposes -- including but not limited to promoting its own services and offerings.

The Revenue Sharing Program

Once you become a producer, you will have the opportunity to join the Revenue Sharing Program (RSP) and create yourself an income potential. However, the RSP program is not mandatory and you may choose not to participate in it. Please visit the Revenue Sharing Program page for more detailed information.

What you may do

• You may play multiple roles on :piksie.com. For example: you may be a producer and an MVP at the same time.
• You may submit as many videos as you like. All videos are subject to approval by MVPs and/or SuperMVPs. Videos that are not approved will be removed from :piksie.com with or without notice.
• You may mention your own personal website and/or blog in your videos provided that your website is not the central theme of your video and is not done excessively. It is important to keep in mind that :piksie.com is an online marketplace and not a video sharing website. Therefore, :piksie.com reserves the right to decline and remove those videos that it deems contain content that create a conflict of interest with its own purposes. Please refer to "References to External Websites" section for more information.
• One way to maximize the earning potential of your videos is to provide content that is applicable to multiple products.
• Your videos may only state facts and not opinions in order to be acceptable for showcase channels as well as :piksieTV.
• You are encouraged to direct people with product expertise and/or product videos to :piksie
• You are also encouraged to link your social networking pages, personal and commercial website(s) and/or blogs to :piksie.com.

What you may not do

• Your videos may not be controversial in nature, contain materials that are objectionable or can be construed as defamatory. :piksie.com is an online marketplace and should only be used for such purposes.
• You may not use :piksie.com to promote your personal and/or commercial website, blog or social networking pages. Please refer to "References to External Websites" section for more information.
• You may not approve your own videos.

References to External Websites

First, it important to state the purpose of :piksie.com.

:piksie.com is an online marketplace for consumer products. It is not a video sharing or a social networking site. The primary purpose of :piksie.com is to help consumers shop online in a new and effortless way while allowing merchants to sell online in a new and effortless way.

Here are the general rules concerning the mention of external websites and materials in videos:

1. Producers are allowed to display the URL(s) of their personal websites/blogs/social networking pages in the beginning and/or at the end of their videos provided that these sites do not directly compete with :piksie.com.
2. Producers are also allowed to mention the name of their personal websites/blogs/social networking pages in the beginning and/or at the end of their videos provided that these sites do not directly compete with :piksie.com
3. Producers are not allowed to display external websites' URLs or mention them throughout the video in order to generate traffic to those sites.
4. :piksie.com does not allow embedding external videos on pages served within the :piksie.com domain or embedding videos served by :piksie.com on external websites.
5. It is fairly common for producers to give their video series a show name and mention that in the beginning and/or at the end of their videos. It is also fairly common for them to have a corresponding website. Therefore, :piksie.com allows producers to mention such shows and/or websites in their videos provided that:
   1. This is not done excessively and/or throughout the video
   2. Does not become confusing for consumers
   3. Does not contain websites that are in competition with :piksie.com

IMPORTANT:

By becoming a producer, you are also agreeing that :piksie.com reserves the right to decline/remove any and all content that it deems inappropriate and/or creates a conflict of interest with its purposes.
