Robert Kiss, the winner of :piksie.com's first video contest, finally received his new iPad!

Here's the interesting twist to the story: We announced the winner of our first "Best Video Contest" on March 2nd. As some of you may recall, there was another important announcement that day: Apple announced the next generation iPads dubbed iPad 2.

When we decided to give away an Apple iPad as the grand prize for our video contest, we never thought Apple would be announcing the next generation iPad within days after our video contest ended. After all, it hadn't even been a full year since the announcement of the first generation iPad. Nevertheless, there it was: iPad 2.

That's when I talked to my business partner, Yo, to discuss what we should do. We both agreed that giving Robert the option to get an iPad which we could ship right away or wait for an iPad 2 would be the right thing to do.

Not surprisingly, Robert opted for an iPad 2 - I would've done the same thing :-)

The thing is, getting an iPad 2 turned out to be a lengthy process. Nevertheless, Robert finally received his new iPad 2 yesterday and we think this is :piksie.com's first success story. Many more to come :-)
